The MyPad team started 2023 with great news: the announcement of not one but TWO recognition awards from Local Authority Building Control (LABC), which represents all local authority building control teams in England and Wales.

Known in the industry as The Bricks, their full name is The LABC Warranty Bricks Site Recognition Awards and we won one in January “for the consistent quality of workmanship and site management” at our Earls Court site in Carlton, Nottingham.

Not to be out done, our site team at Dove Garage at Ashbourne was also recognised with a Brick in February.

The Bricks Site Recognition Award winners are chosen every month and are then further shortlisted at the end of the year, when only the best of those sites will be rewarded with The Bricks annual award trophy, one of the construction industry’s most prestigious awards.

As well as standards of workmanship and overall management of the site, the assessment for The Bricks also includes health and safety matters, general tidiness and inspection outcomes.

“We’d be delighted to receive The Bricks Site Recognition Award from LABC Warranty for just one site,” said Operations Director, Dave Holland, “so to be shortlisted in two months out of two is a brilliant achievement. I’m especially pleased for our staff and contractors working on these sites as this is a recognition of their hard work, professionalism and expertise.”
